Description:

Marked "LENNEY" on top of the slide, "6 50" on the right side and "32" on the right side of the frame. The circumstances behind the creation of this pistol are unknown. While presumably a person named Lenney made it about June of 1950, no record of a patent issue could be found for this design, and no documentation is available. The overall design and mechanics is reminiscent of the Ruger Standard pistol, which received its patent in 1946; Lenney's application, if made, may have been rejected for its mechanical similarity to Bill Ruger's design. The action is built around a reciprocating blowback-driven bolt with a combination cocking piece and sliding dust cover extending to cover most of the frame giving the appearance of a conventional pistol slide. In operation, the cocking piece reciprocates with the bolt exposing the ejector port and lending extra mass to the bolt. The pistol is fitted with a trigger-block safety, a partially exposed sear, smooth grips and an unmarked plastic base magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% of the original blue finish showing areas of brown patina, light scratches and mild handling marks. The grips are in similar condition. Mechanically fine.
