Manufactured circa 1908-1911, the Schwarzlose 1908 uses an uncommon "blow forward" action where the breech and cartridge remain stationary in firing, and the barrel is driven forward by a combination of gas pressure and projectile friction. This example is devoid of markings save for a pair of "crown/N" proofs on the right side of the frame, "7,65" on the left side of the frame and the serial number "12". Though no paperwork or documentation is available, the low number and absence of markings suggest a "prototype" or "tool room" model for the 1908. Fixed sights, grip serrations on the rear of the barrel, a safety switch on the left side of the frame, checkered grips and a magazine marked "21" on the toe.

Very fine with 80% of the original blue finish showing mild spotting, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. Grips are very fine with a few light scratches and sharp checkering. Mechanically fine.
