Description:

This is a very early example of a Spanish Warwinck pistol. Similar in form to the American Savage Model 1907. It is however more closely related to the blowback action of the Browning Model 1910. Manufactured in Spain's Eibar region, during the cottage firearms industry boom of the early 20th century, prior to and during World War I. With a safety lever at the rear left of the frame, heel magazine catch and checkered hardwood grips. Photographed in Matthews Volume III plate number 2036.

Rating Definition:

Good, with 19% plus original blue finish, the balance having aged to a mottled brown/gray patina. Showing areas of edge wear, light spotting and minor pitting. Grips are fair as mismatched replacements, the right grip has fine checkering, the left is coarse, both are slightly undersized for the gun. Mechanically fair. Needs adjustments, will not cock. Magazine is absent.
