This is a very fine example of a late production DWM Model 1906 Swiss contract Luger. In 1913, the Swiss purchased these Lugers from DWM still in the unfinished condition, finished them and issued them to the Swiss military and subsequently released them for commercial sales in the 1940's and 1950's. The top of the chamber area has the "Swiss Cross in shield crest" with the "DWM" scroll monogram on the front toggle. The left side of the barrel extension has the standard Swiss proof and firing proofs with a Swiss Cross firing proof on the left side of the barrel. The full, larger serial number "13225" is stamped on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel. The receiver lug, rear toggle link and the breech block are numbered with the matching partial serial numbers on the various parts. The frame is not machined for a stock lug and has the correct 1906 style grip safety. It is complete with a Swiss Luger magazine with the tin plated magazine body with a unmarked wooden base with metal inserts on the sides and a red-russet leather holster (without the shoulder strap). The holster has a couple of former names written in ink inside the flap with a clear "Swiss Cross/K" acceptance proof. The back of the holster is stamped, "E, HINTERMAN/SATTLER/GATTIKON ZURICH". It has the Swiss rust blue with the straw colored various smaller parts.

Very fine as arsenal blued with 99% of the finish overall. The various smaller parts all retain 99% of the arsenal strawed colors. The grips are in excellent condition with nice, sharp, distinct checkering on both sides. The red russet holster is also in very good condition with a nice red color overall as having been redyed with nice tight stitching.
