Produced in limited quantities during World War II, Lugers intended for the civilian market continued to be made even though the lion's share of Mauser's capacity was earmarked for military and government contracts. While the military "P.08" nomenclature, "42" date code and serial numbering (external match except for magazine) are present, the rest of the markings are civilian style, with the "MAUSER" banner on top of the front toggle link and "eagle/N" proofs on the left side of the barrel extension and breechblock. Overall finish is full blue, with checkered grips and a "fxo" magazine with "6669" hand-scribed on the back. With a brown leather "gxy1942" and "WaA706" marked holster and a takedown tool.

Very fine as completely refinished and partially remarked (toggle assembly), showing 95% of the blue, with some light handling marks overall and mild pitting beneath the finish. Grips are fine, with some dents, cuts and flat spots. Holster is very fine, with some light scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
