This is a like new example of a Barrett M99 single shot "50 BMG" sniper rifle. Barrett Firearms was the leader in developing .50 cal sniper rifles for the U.S. military in the early to mid 1980s. It features a solid one-piece aluminum receiver (to help reduce weight), with a pressed in steel receiver insert that holds the bolt raceway, locking lugs, and the breech-end of the barrel. The action itself is a bull-pup configuration which helped reduce the overall length of the rifle and it is fitted with a solid 29 inch barrel with a muzzle break on the end. The top of the receiver has a 14 inch long integral Picatinny rail with a Leupold Vari-X III 6.5-20x50mm Long Range target scope with a mil-dot reticle. The rifle is fitted with an M60 type folding bi-pod, a black recoil pad and the receiver has been coated/painted a matte black. Included is a Pelican latching hard case.

Near new with only slight handling marks. The case is good with scattered scratches and scuff marks. The scope has clear optics. Mechanically excellent.
