Description:

This is a beautiful example of a Wilkinson Sword Co, commemorative sword patterned after the exact sword worn by General George Washington at his inauguration as First President of the United States in 1789. This beautiful sword is 34 1/2 inches long overall and features a 28 inch tapered, double-edged blade that is decorated with gold-washed etching on both sides of the upper portion of the blade. Additionally both sides of the ricasso are also marked in gold-wash with: "Wilkinson Sword" over their crossed sword company logo. The top of the spine is serial numbered "349". The top of the blade has a wonderful "boat-shell" shaped silver hilt, with a "C&F" hallmark on the guard and a silver wire wrapped grip. It is complete with a letter from U.S. Bicentennial Society, providing a registration card for the sword.

Rating Definition:

Very fine all of the gold-wash intact with a small amount of spotting on the blade with some mixed tarnishing of the silver hilt.
