This Colt Python was manufactured in 1963 and has a pinned front sight on the vented rib and an adjustable notch rear sight on the top strap. The left side of the barrel has "PYTHON .357/ [star] .357 MAGNUM CTG. [star]", and the one line Hartford address is on the opposite side. The left side rear of the frame has the Rampant Colt emblem. The left side of the grip frame has some small single letter stamps along with "INS". It has checkered walnut grips with golden Colt medallions, serrated grip straps (front strap covered by the grips), serrated trigger, and knurled, extended hammer spur. It includes a Colt woodgrain factory box numbered to another Python and several original Colt documents including "The Colt Companion," Python manual, and a congratulations letter from Colt Industries.

Very fine. The revolver retains 90% of the original blue finish with some brown patina showing on the thinning areas on the sides of the barrel and cylinder and some edge wear near the muzzle and leading edges. The cylinder has a clear drag line. The grips are very good with crisp checkering and only minor scratches and handling marks. The action is excellent and the markings are crisp. The box is very good with some minor storage wear.
