This rifle was manufactured in 1897 and has a German silver blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, tang mounted peep sight, smooth forearm and straight grip stock with rifle buttplate. The two-line Winchester address is ahead of the rear sight, the caliber designation at the breech, and the serial number on the bottom of the action.

Fine. The rifle retains 40% plus of the original blue finish and traces of case colors (stronger on the inside of the action). The balance has brown and gray patina and some light spotting. The wood is very good with deep gouges on the right side and minor dings and scratches on the balance. The action is excellent and the markings are crisp.
