Description:

Manufactured between 1890 and 1933, this rifle was built on a lightweight No. 4 action. The top barrel flat ahead of the rear sight is marked "REMINGTON ARMS-UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO. / REMINGTON WORKS, ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A.", "Remington / TRADE MARK" at the breech and "25-10 R.F." on the upper left rear flat. The serial number is marked on the lower barrel flat ahead of the forearm as well as the letter "L". It has a blue barrel; niter blue breechblock, hammer and trigger, and casehardened action. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a Remington UMC marked crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The barrel retains 98% original blue finish with high edge wear and a few minor scratches. The action retains 98% original bright case colors, and virtually all of the bright niter blue finish remains on the trigger and hammer and most on the breechblock. The wood is excellent with 98% original finish and a few overall scattered minor dings and handling marks. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.
