These box lock pistols have canon style turn off barrels, "crown/V" and "crown/P" proofmarks on the bottom of the actions at the breech, floral and scroll engraving patterns, "T. ARCHER" in a banner on the left sides, and silver wire inlaid walnut stocks. Thomas Archer Sr. and Jr. operated out of Birmingham in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Very good. The pistol has a lightly yellowed aged patina and some small marks. The grip is also very good with some small chips at the edges and a small section of absent silver wire. The action is fine, and the markings and designs are clear.
