Description:

Only an estimated 1,000 of these 3rd Models were manufactured from 1859 to 1860. The top barrel flat has the standard two line Beals patent dates (56, 57, 58) over the Remington address marking. The serial number "36" is stamped on bottom of the barrel, grip frame under the left panel, and both of the checkered hard rubber grips. It has a large cone front sight and frame groove rear sight.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The revolver has 25% of the original blue finish and primarily a brown patina. There are some minor marks and scratches along with a few spots of slight oxidation and pitting. The grips are very good with an aged tone, some small chips, and crisp checkering. The action is fine, but the spring screw in front grip strap is absent. Some of the markings are slightly fade, but all are legible.
