This revolver was manufactured in the late 20th century (part of the Black Powder Colt Continuation series) and displays intricate scroll engraving patterns on a punch dot background. The patterns cover approximately 80% of the metal surfaces. The back strap is signed "ENGR. BY/L.B.V." in a banner. The muzzle and front of the recoil shield have dual gold bands. It has matching serial numbers. It has the standard markings, post and hammer notch sights, and is fitted with a smooth one piece grip. It comes in a hardwood case with burgundy lined interior, U.M.C. tin with caps, dual cavity bullet mold, combination tool, and eagle powder flask.

Very fine as custom engraved and refinished. It retains 98% plus of the blue, gold, casehardened, and silver finishes. The grip is very fine with some slight age cracks and a lightly aged patina. The action, markings and engraving patterns are excellent. The relined custom case is very good with moderate storage wear. The accessories are fine.
