Measuring around 13 inches in overall length, the core of this pistol is a double edged spear point dagger, 8 3/8 inches in blade length, with a tang running the full length of the mameluke pattern hilt. Mounted to each side of the tang is a percussion action with the lock hardware concealed by the ribbed German silver grip panels, the hammers shaped like a pair of rear quillions, a single non-sequential folding trigger and the barrels resting in the fullers. The barrels and blade are finely etched and gold washed with decorative bird scenes, scroll and geometric patterns, and "DUMOTHIER/BREVET Dou" on the left side of the blade. With a German silver fitted black leather sheath.

Very fine. Some light spotting is present on the exceptionally fine blade and barrels with strong gold wash in the protected areas and a bright steel color overall. The guard shows 30% of an original blue finish with a brown patina on the remainder. The sheath is good with a few light scuffs. Mechanically fine.
