Description:

Approximately 3,000 of these revolvers were manufactured circa 1860. It is marked "BLISS & GOODYEAR, NEW HAVEN, CT." on top of the barrel and has a six shot cylinder, spur trigger, post and groove sights and smooth walnut grips. The matching serial number is on the grip frame and bottom of the barrel. The gun fits the included black leather belt holster perfectly. The holster has no visible markings. Also included is an article discussing Dr. Mary Edwards Walker. Walker is the sole woman to have ever received the Medal of Honor. She received the award from President Johnson after the Civil War for her "untiring efforts" as a doctor during the war and the hardships she endured as a prisoner in Richmond. She was known as a free thinking woman more than willing to challenge gender roles. The relevance of Walker to the revolver is not known.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver has a traces of the original blue finish and otherwise a brown patina with small marks and light pitting. The grips are also very good with some light edge wear and handling marks. The action is fine and the markings are clear. The holster is good especially considering its age and has some light crackling and rub wear.
