Manufactured from 1926 to 1941, the S&W .44 Hand Ejector 3rd Model has a shrouded extractor, a feature that was reintroduced as the request from the dealer Wolf & Klar of Fort Worth. This example features Wolf & Klar engraving on 80% of the metal surfaces. The engraving features geometric line patterns on most of the surfaces including the frame, barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder flats and back strap. The sides of the frame also have an engraved floral pattern. The revolver retains the standard S&W factory barrel and frame markings. The pearl grips are jeweled and feature a relief carved steer head on the right panel. The steer has blue glass eyes. The tops of the grips have glass jewels, and the left grip panel features a line of glass jewels near the bottom. Included with the revolver is an unmarked open top leather holster.

Fine as period embellished. The revolver retains 85% of the nickel finish with a few areas of smooth gray patina. The hammer and trigger retain strong traces of case colors. The modified grips are very good with a small chip missing near the bottom (right panel). Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good.
