Manufactured in 1956 with fixed sights, one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and the left side marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL". The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent date marking followed by the Rampant Colt with "258" on the loading gate. Matching serial number on the bottom of the frame and left side of the front strap and back strap under the grips. Casehardened frame with blue remaining parts and fitted with two-piece checkered plastic grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Complete with original Colt hinged lid black box and hanging tag.

Excellent, with 99% of the original blue finish remaining. Thinning near the muzzle with very light spotting on both sides of frame. Light scratches on the cylinder with a very faint drag line. The grips are excellent with a few nicks along the edges and sharp checkering. The action is tight. The box is very good with minor edge wear and a small tear on one of the corners.
