Manufactured in 1956, the first year for production of the Second Generation Single Action Army revolvers. The one line address is marked on top of the barrel. "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" is on the left side, and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. Matching serial and assembly numbers including the matching serial number on the inside of each grip panel. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, blue finish with casehardened frame, polished hammer sides and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Comes with the original hinged lid black box numbered to the gun, shipping box and the Colt stock order showing these two revolvers were sold together. This set would rank as the but one of it's type that we have ever offered at auction!

Near new in box. The box is fine with two separated corners on the lid as well as a 4 inch split on the rear lid edge.
