The stunning rifle was built on a rare custom short action by master gunsmith and stock maker Darwin Hensley. With a lightweight fast tapered barrel manufactured without sights. The barrel is marked "DARWIN HENSLEY GUNMAKER No. 240" in fancy old English style script on the top center. The bolt head, floorplate and triggerguard have been beautifully casehardened with a highly polished bolt body and extractor. Fitted with adjustable double set triggers. The receiver has been drilled, tapped and mounted with scope bases and rings. Mounted on a wonderfully figured multi-point checkered one piece pistol grip stock with a contrasting ebony forend cap and skeletonized steel grip cap with a checkered naked grip base. The stock features a shadowline cheekpiece, casehardened sling swivel mounts and a casehardened skeleton buttplate with a finely checkered naked butt. With a canvas web sling.

Very fine as professionally built and finished. With 99% plus of the blue finish on the barrel and bolt handle with a few minute handling marks, and 99% of the vibrant case hardened finish with some scattered small handling marks. The wood is very fine with high figuring, bold mineral lines and very minor small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
