This standard rifle is one of approximately 20,000 Model 70s manufactured in 220 Swift. It was manufactured in 1954 and has a 26 inch round barrel (standard for only the 220 Swift and 300 H&H Magnum) with a hooded stippled ramp front sight with filler block (blade absent) and additional filler block in the rear sight dovetail. The original sporting rear sight is also included. It has the standard late markings and features including a "straight" receiver tang with partially squared end. The bolt body is polished bright and has the matching serial number marked on the bottom. It is fitted with a checkered pistol grip stock with straight comb, sling swivels, and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 97% of the original matte blue finish with some thinning on the handle, slight wear from scope mounting and cycling, scattered light scratches, and some minor handling/storage marks. The triggerguard screws are both marred. The revarnished stock is very good with some slight dings and scratches, sharp checkering, and slight cracks and wear on the edge of the butt. The action is excellent, and the markings are crisp.
