This Model 52B was manufactured in 1953 and has the standard markings including "SPORTING" on the floor plate. It has a hooded beaded blade front sight and a receiver mounted Lyman peep sight. The top of the action is non-factory drilled and tapped for scope mounting. It is mounted on a walnut pistol grip stock with contrasting forend cap, checkering on the forend and grip, a cheekpiece on the left, and a checkered buttplate. The Model 52 series was produced from 1920 until 1980, and the rifles of the series are among the most popular of all American .22 caliber sporting rifles. These rifles are renowned for their accuracy. The Model 52 has earned the nickname "The King of .22s" and has been called "perfection in design".

Very fine. The rifle retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with only overall light handling/storage marks. The stock is also very fine with some slight dings, a few small scratches, and some small spots of adhered paper on the right. The checkering and markings are crisp. The action is excellent.
