The brass lock plate, which nicely contrasts with the iron components of the action, features a light floral engraving and is signed "I.I. BEHR." "I.I. BEHR" is again signed on the top of the barrel. The trigger guard, buttcap, ramrod pipes, and thumb escutcheon are silver. The remaining components are iron. The silver thumb escutcheon is a large Royal Dutch coat of arms. The hammer has chiseled floral work. There is a light engraving on the trigger guard. The cut-out side plate is done in a floral design. The buttcap has a raised grotesque mask, which is silver. There is a blade front sight and the barrel tang also acts as a rear sighting groove. The full length stock has a horn forend cap. A silver inlaid wire pattern surrounds the barrel tang. The inlaid wire is done in a very attractive scroll and clamshell pattern.

Good. The brass has a very attractive aged patina. The iron components have a bright appearance and show some minor pitting. The silver is fine. The stock is fair with heavy wear, some minor chipping, limited putty repairs, a few deep dents and some minor handling marks. All of the inlaid wire remains. Mechanically fine.
