This pistol has a cannon style barrel with slightly flared muzzle similar to a blunderbuss and is approximately .60 caliber. The barrel and action are one piece of bright brass. There are some border designs and martial motifs on the sides of the action. The iron fittings are bright including the safety catch and folding bayonet. The bayonet has a 4 1/2 inch spear point blade that is held in place by the trigger guard. Pulling back on the trigger guard allows the bayonet to spring forward and lock in position for use. The left side of the barrel has a wooden ramrod secured by two pipes. The walnut grip has wire inlaid designs.

Very good. The pistol has a lightly aged appearance overall including some minor blemishes and slight pitting. The grip is very good and has some edge wear, light scratches, and small chips. As is generally the case with early safety mechanisms, the latch does not prevent the pistol from firing. The action is fine, and the bayonet works properly. The designs are legible.
