Description:

Manufactured by the firm of V. Charles Schilling of Suhl, the Bergmann was developed in the 1890s and 1900s, and produced in limited numbers. Blade front and notch rear sights, with German "crown/crown/U" proofs, the Schilling "mountain man" logo on the right side of the frame, and a series of numbers on the individual components to denote order of disassembly. Fitted with a straw finished trigger and hammer, niter blue safety, and checkered hardwood grips.

Rating Definition:

Good, with 30% of the faded original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, scattered spotting and bright edge wear. Vivid straw color is present on the hammer, with 50% niter blue on the safety. The heavily worn grips are good, with some mild chips and dings. Mechanically very good.
