Description:

Webley & Scott produced a variety of semi-automatic or "self-loading" pistols based on designs by William John Whiting in the years leading up to WWI. This example is the .38 ACP version of the Model 1910 with an automatic grip safety. It is marked with the "W&S" winged bullet emblem followed by "WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD/LONDON & BIRMINGHAM/.38 AUTOMATIC PISTOL" on the left side of the slide, "62755" on the left side of the frame at the back, and various small British proofmarks. It has an integral blade front sight and a drift adjustable notch rear sight. The grips are checkered, and a lanyard loop is on the left edge of the magazine well.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The pistol retains 80% plus of the original blue finish and has a brown patina on the balance. The main wear is on the barrel which has some mild pitting near the muzzle. The grips are fine as repaired with various dings, marks, and scratches along with mostly crisp checkering and a few small chips. The action appears fine. The magazine is absent. The markings are crisp.
