This is a standard World War II German P08 luger manufactured in 1940. The chamber is correctly dated 1940 with the Mauser factory wartime code of "42" stamped on the toggle. The barrel extension is stamped with a double "eagle/655" proof along with the "eagle/swastika" firing proof, which is also stamped on the barrel and breechblock. It has the standard safety and loaded markings. It has an all blued finish with standard checkered walnut grips. It is complete with one late production blued "fxo" marked magazine with an unnumbered or proofed aluminum base.

Very fine with 97% of the original blued finish with minor edge and high spot wear and some blue loss on the stock lug and lower front grip strap (cold blue touch up in this area only). The grips are also in excellent condition with nice, distinct checkering overall and only some minor handling marks/pressure marks on the right side. It has matching numbers on the various parts except the magazine as noted above.
