Description:

Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked with the intertwined "USS" company logo and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A." LTC Robert Downie's "RCD" proof is on the left side of the frame, with a thin checkered hammer, stamped trigger, checkered slide catch, thumb safety, arched mainspring housing, Keyes-Fiber grips, and a High Standard barrel. With a 1944 dated Boyt brown leather holster.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% of the original factory dulite finish, showing a dark brown patina on the grip straps, bright wear on the high edges, and some takedown lines around the slide stop. A bright spot is present on the frame around the serial number, and a few tiny patches of pitting are present on the slide. Grips are fine with a few light dings. Holster is good with mild cracking and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
