Description:

Produced in 1943. Horace Greeley's survey (Colt U.S. General Officers' Pistol, page 80) found arsenal records indicating this pistol was issued as a general's sidearm circa 1959; the exact general has not been identified. Fixed sights, with the two-block address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, "U.S. PROPERTY" on the right side of the frame below the caliber markings, and "VP/4" and "30" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a magazine well safety, full-blue "CAL.32/COLT" magazine and checkered nickel medallion grips.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% plus of the original parkerized finish showing some bright wear on the edges and light handling marks. The grips are very good with some light dings and verdigris spots. Mechanically excellent.
