Manufactured in 1899. Standard two-line Hartford address/patent dates (1884-1895) on top of the barrel with caliber marking on the left side. "RAC" is present on the left side of frame, cylinder, and bottom on the left grip panel. The assembly number "7466" is stamped on the frame, crane, and cylinder release. The trigger and hammer have a niter blue finish. The butt is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1896/No/127/466. Fitted with smooth walnut grips marked "1899" and script letter cartouche "JTT" on the left grip panel and "RAC" on the right grip panel.

Very fine overall. The revolver retains 70% of the original blue finish with scattered brown speckling with scattered scratches and dings and a cylinder drag line. The hammer and trigger have a vivid niter blue finish with some minor brown speckling. The markings are legible. The grips are fine with light wear, sharp cartouches, scattered scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
