Manufactured in 1981, the first year this configuration was made available by Colt in the New Frontier line. Features a standard ramp blade front and fully adjustable square notch rear sights. With standard barrel markings and patent dates on the frame. Includes the original Colt "woodgrain" box numbered to the gun with papers. This particular configuration of a 7 1/2 inch barrel, nickel finish and .357 Magnum chambering was used for just over 500 pieces, accounting for just 3% of the total New Frontier production, making this a rare and desirable find, even more so with the original numbered box.

Near new in box with only minimal light handling marks. The box is fair with corner and edge wear, and some small tears.
