The lock plate of this early 19th century "Brown Bess" is marked "TOWER" behind the hammer and has the large crown over "GR" ahead of the hammer along with a "crown/broad arrow" stamp. The barrel is marked with several British proofs as does the stock. It has a nearly full length walnut stock with brass furniture.

Poor. The iron surfaces have an overall rust brown. The brass furniture have a well aged patina. The stock is fair with insect damage, significant repairs on the butt, and overall mild wear. The lock remains functional.
