Manufactured in 1979 and has the standard markings and features aside from the smooth "one piece" style grips. The included factory box has the matching serial number. The "WS" in the "OPTIONS" field indicates it was shipped with smooth walnut grips which were standard on the Model P-1756 revolvers. Wilkerson's "The Post-War Colt Single-Action Revolver, 1976-1986" lists the pre-1986 production total of this model at just 1,452.

Excellent as fitted with custom grips. The revolver retains 99% plus of the original nickel plating and has only light handling marks and some small light cylinder drag lines. The grips are very good with light handling wear and a few hairline age cracks. The box is poor with torn missing end flaps and hand written added grip marking.
