Catalog Page: 92
Class: Antique
Description:

These pistols are marked with crown, fleur-de-lis, and "N" proofmarks on the upper left barrel flats. The sides of the actions have a series of stamped " * " designs. The firing mechanism for these pistols is ingeniously simple. A spring bar/hammer is fastened below the muzzle and extends back to the ring trigger. This bar has a cut out to clear the percussion nipple. When the trigger is pulled tension is applied to the spring until the trigger spur clears the bar at which time it strikes the nipple and fires the pistol. The bar rotates to the right for re-capping. The pistols have smooth walnut "saw-handle" grips.

Rating Definition:

Good as period refinished. There are traces of blue finish and case colors and otherwise a gray-brown patina with some light spotting. The grip is very good with some dings and small chips.
