Description:

Measuring 24 1/2 inches overall, with a 17 1/4 inch blade showing a wavy hamon and fitted with a silver plated copper habaki with straight line engraved accents. 4-lobed iron tsuba with a single copper seppa on each side, wind-themed engraving on top and a raised gold-accented dragon on the underside. Blue-green cord wrapped hilt with black lacquered furniture and floral menuki. With a black lacquer finished saya. The tang shows a pair of mekugi-ana and a 3-symbol signature on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The fair blade shows a mixed gray tone overall, with scattered brown spotting, a few small dings and separations in the surface, and about 50% of the hamon. A deep, near black patina is present on the tang. Hilt is good, with some staining of the wrap and separation/loss of rayskin. The saya has some cracking and scuffs.
