This tanegashima was likely produced in the 19th century during the late Edo period. The musket has no visible markings aside from an emblem on the right side of the stock near the butt.

About good. The iron has a dark brown patina with rough oxidation. The brass has an aged patina. The stock is very good with only minor dings and light scrapes. The ramrod is absent. The action functions fine, but the bore is obstructed.
