Description:

Constructed from heavy leaded glass and devoid maker's marks, this vase measures 10 3/4 inches tall with an internal diameter at the mouth of 3 1/2 inches and a 4 1/4 inch wide scalloped round base. Fine leafy vine and scallop patterns have been cut into the glass and accented with gold wash with one side featuring a spread-winged eagle topped with a crown. The design, particularly the crown, bears a strong resemblance to the Imperial symbols of Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenie as well as the Emperor of Mexico (a client of Napoleon's).

Rating Definition:

Excellent. Some light flaking or darkening of the gold has occurred, light scuffs are visible on the base, and minimum handling marks overall.
