This Colt Single Action Army revolver was manufactured in 1882 and has since been custom engraved with scroll and punch dot engraving patterns and fitted with a one-piece checkered walnut grip. The patterns cover about 85% of the metal surfaces and include floral designs on the recoil shield and loading gate. The barrel has the one-line address, and the frame has the three-line patent information. "44 CF" is stamped on the left front of the trigger guard. The matching serial number is on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. The matching partial serial number is on the cylinder. The front of the frame is marked "BJ", and the deep cut patterns closely resemble other Bill Johns engraved Colt revolvers.

Very good as custom engraved and plated. The revolver retains nearly all of the chrome plated finish with some slight spots of oxidation. The slightly undersized grip is very good with some small scrapes, minor handling marks, and distinct checkering. The action functions fine but is missing the half cock notch in hammer. The markings are legible, and the designs are crisp and well executed.
