Description:

Manufactured in 1900. This revolver was engraved by Master Engraver Burt Sinclair with nearly full coverage of a "Roses and Posies" pattern with a punch dot background. The entire revolver has been finished in a satin silver plating. Mr. Sinclair's favorite guns to engrave are the Colt Single Action Army and Colt 45s. The two-line address is marked on top of the barrel, "38 W.C.F." on the left side and the left side of the frame is marked with the two-line, three patent dates. Matching serial numbers, standard blade and frame notch sights and fitted with a one-piece smooth pearl grip. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, with the grips as "Not Listed" and that it was finished blue when it was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett Co. in Chicago, Illinois on June 30, 1900 as 1 of 9. Also accompanying the revolver is a brief history of Mr. Sinclair and him verifying he engraved this revolver.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished and custom engraved with 99% of the satin silver finish remaining, which is beginning to darken with age in some areas. There are some areas of pin prick type pitting under the finish, most notably in the loading cut out and rear face of the cylinder. The grip is near mint. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is excellent.
