This rifle was manufactured in 1947 during the transition period (late 1945 to 1951). It has a hooded front sight with brass bead and stippled ramp, elevation adjustable rear sight, receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting on both the rings and the side, standard Winchester markings including the factory oval proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech and "-SUPER GRADE-" on the floor plate, polished bolt numbered to gun, cloverleaf receiver tang, and transition safety. It has a straight comb pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, ebony forend tip, early European style oval cheekpiece, early style hard rubber Winchester grip cap, quick release sling swivels, and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as partially refinished (stock and buttplate). The balance rifle retains 99% original blue with light handling and cycling marks and mild age discoloration of the grip cap.
