The stunning rifle was built by master gunsmith and stock maker Darwin Hensley with a lightweight fast tapered barrel manufactured without sights. The barrel is marked "DARWIN HENSLEY GUNMAKER No. 242" on the top center. The action, bolt handle and body, floor plate and trigger guard have been beautifully casehardened. The receiver has been drilled, tapped and mounted with casehardened scope bases and blue rings. Mounted on a wonderfully figured multi-point checkered one piece pistol grip stock with a contrasting horn forend cap and casehardened steel grip cap. The stock features a shadow line cheekpiece, casehardened sling swivel mounts and casehardened heel and toe plates with a finely checkered naked butt. Fitted with a leather sling.

Very fine as professionally built and finished with 99% of the blue on the barrel and some very small light surface handling marks. The action has 99% of the casehardened finish with some minor handling evidence as well. Light cycling marks are present on the bolt body. The wood is very fine with only small and minor handling marks and minor indentations on the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
