The stunning rifle was built by master gunsmith and stock maker Darwin Hensley with a lightweight fast tapered barrel manufactured without sights. The barrel is marked "DARWIN HENSLEY GUNMAKER No. 229" on the top center. The action, bolt handle and body, floor plate and trigger guard have been beautifully casehardened with intense nitre blue used to finish the extractor and bolt head. The receiver has been drilled, tapped and mounted with casehardened scope bases and blue rings. Mounted on a wonderfully figured multi-point checkered one piece pistol grip stock with a contrasting ebony forend cap and skeletonized casehardened steel grip cap with a checkered naked grip base. The stock features a shadow line cheekpiece, casehardened sling swivel mounts and a casehardened skeleton buttplate with a finely checkered naked butt.

Very fine as professionally built and finished with 99% plus of the blue on the barrel with some very small marks. The action is vibrantly casehardened with minimal light handling marks and light cycling marks on the bolt. The wood is very fine with intense figuring and mineral lines, with minimal handling marks, some of which are on the cheek piece. Mechanically excellent.
