Description:

This revolver was manufactured in 1918 near the end of WWI and is marked with the one line barrel address, "38 W.C.F" on the left, the two line patent information and Rampant Colt emblem on the left side of the frame, and matching serial and assembly numbers. It features the standard blade and frame groove sights and is fitted with smooth mother of pearl grips. Although the SAA first debut in 1873, these revolvers still saw military well into the 20th century including use in both of the World Wars.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The revolver has traces of the original blue finish and case colors in the protected areas and otherwise a primarily gray patina with some spotting. The earlier production replacement grips are fine with attractive iridescent undertones, some small cracks and chips, and minor handling wear. The action is fine, and the markings are clear.
