This is an unusual Model 37 D.S. Police Shotgun that was converted to a trench gun with the addition of a 6-hole 1917 style metal heat shield. It has a raised brass bead front sight mounted on top of the bayonet lug, with adjustable DS rear sight. With a 2 3/4 inch chamber and improved modified choke. The receiver is unmarked except for serial number. Ribbed forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with a flat butt. With a "MRT" stamped leather sling and a "US M1917" marked bayonet.

Very fine as modified, with 95% of the parkerized matte gray finish. Some light handling marks and brown spotting are visible, with patches of bright gray on areas of the handguard and along the edges. Stock is also very fine, with some minor chipping at receiver juncture, white spots and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
