Description:

Manufactured in 1918, this is a late WWI production 1911. The two block Colt address and patent markings divided by the Rampant Colt appear on the left slide side, and "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" is on the right. The frame has the U.S. property marking above the serial number on the right side and an "eagle/S5" inspection mark on the left. "HP" marked barrel chamber. Smooth flat mainspring housing, grips with the diamond patterns, and two-tone magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 90% professionally applied "Black Army" type finish with the grip straps thinning to a brown and some minor edge wear. There are a few small patches of minor pitting. The grips are good with most of the checkering worn off, a surface chip, a minor crack, and the small letters "H" and "E" carved near the bottom.
