Manufactured in circa 1902 and subsequently custom engraved, upgraded, and gold inlaid. The barrels are blue, and the remaining parts have been polished to an attractive French grey. The receiver is engraved with a gold inlaid hunting dog and two gold inlaid pheasants in a field scene on the left side, a gold inlaid hunting dog and two gold inlaid ducks in a marsh scene on the right side, a gold inlaid pheasant in a wooded scene and a gold inlaid hunting dog with a gold inlaid pheasant in its mouth on the underside of the receiver. Between the two scenes is a gold inlaid "PARKER." The balance of the receiver is engraved with a floral scroll design, and the engraving has gold inlaid wire highlights and borders. The trigger guard has floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid wire bordering, and the forearm hardware and break lever are lightly engraved with gold inlaid wire bordering. The muzzle and breech ends of the barrels have a gold inlaid wire band and a wedge of floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid wire border. The water table is marked with the two-line patent dates on the right side and "V/114913" on the left side. The matching serial number is marked on the barrel lug and inside of the forearm hardware. There are double bead sights on the matte vent rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, and the chokes gauge at a loose improved modified/loose full. Mounted with a fancy bordered Fleur De Lis checkered semi-beavertailed walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap with gold initial oval and leather covered solid recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Fine as professionally refurbished, upgraded, and embellished with 99% blue finish remaining on the barrels, showing a couple small minor scratches. The water table retains almost all of the vivid original case colors. All of the gold inlay remains. The remaining metal surfaces have a nice French grey appearance. The wood shows a couple of small shallow gouges on the left side of the stock and overall a few minor handling marks and sharp checkering. The engraving is sharp. Mechanically excellent.
