Manufactured circa 1928. With dual bead sights on a solid concave matte rib. The top of the rib is marked "PARKER BROS.MAKERS.MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TITANIC STEEL" The barrels are choked improved cylinder/full and have 2 3/4 inch chambers and ejectors. The receiver is engraved with dogs on point in a field scene on both the left and right sides along with the Parker Brothers banner. The underside is engraved with four pheasant. The rest of the the action is engraved with a tight swirling scroll pattern. The trigger guard, fences and break lever are similarly engraved. Mounted on a fancy checkered splinter forearm with engraved hardware and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, Parker Brothers hard rubber grip cap, brass initial oval and a leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 7/8 inches.

Very fine as professionally refinished with 99% of the blue, a small area of light pitting that has been cleaned and reblued on the left barrel, two plugged vent holes in the bottom of the rib indicating high temperature bluing, some light surface scratches and general light handling marks. The frame features muted case colors with areas of aged gray patina, crisp detailed engravings and clear markings. The wood is very good as refreshed and lightly altered to accommodate the recoil pad. Mechanically very good.
