Description:

Antoine L. Bayre (Fr: 1796-1875). Life size most monumental vividly expressive standing American brown bear bronze. This is the best of the best of a living full size bear standing upright on his two back legs looking forward with a snarling grin posture. The bear has an elaborate chased hairy body with bear claws semi-extended, a brown patina, solid construction and very heavy. The bronze is signed on the bottom bronze plinth, "Bayre". Dimensions are 44" by 34" by 71". Weighs approximately 340lbs. If you are looking to put this great bear in your backyard, you will have no trouble with offensive animals and guests. A true hard to cast in a solid mold bronze statue.

Rating Definition:

Very good.
