This fantastically engraved revolver was a presentation piece awarded to the well-known S&W collector from Evergreen, Colorado, Warren Tom Lewis, for his “Best Smith & Wesson Display” at the 1969 Mid-Winter Sahara Gun Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The beautiful and highly detailed scroll engraving with a punch dot background features Tom Freyburger’s finest work, the pinnacle of factory engraving of the late-1960’s period. The side plate features the presentation inscription to Mr. Lewis (see inset photos for full inscription detail and engraver’s signature). Equipped with a Patridge blade front and adjustable rear notch sights, a wide casehardened checkered hammer and smooth wide trigger. Fitted with checkered Goncolo Alves diamond target grips with inset nickel "S&W" monogram medallions. The mahogany case has blue lining with a cleaning rod, bore brush, swab and small screw driver.

Excellent with 99% plus of the original blue finish, the diamond target grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent. The presentation case is very good with some indentations and light scratches in the exterior lid.
