This is a Second Model 1890 manufactured in 1894 with a casehardened takedown frame and fixed sights on an octagon barrel marked with the two-line New Haven address and "22 SHORT" at the breech. The three line model and patent information is stamped on the upper tang with the serial number on the lower tang. Mounted with a straight grip stock, casehardened crescent buttplate and hammer and 12 groove forearm.

Very fine with 70% of the original thinning blue finish on the barrel and magazine tube. The bolt has 99% of the current deep polished blue finish. The receiver displays 50% of the original slightly muted case colors, with some more vibrant coloration in the more protected areas. The slide handle is a very good replacement and the buttstock is refinished. Mechanically excellent.
