The receiver of this Model 70 was manufactured in 1948 and has since been used as the basis for this custom rifle built by Roger Biesen of Biesen Custom Guns. The barrel is marked "ROGER BIESEN GUNMAKER SPOKANE, WN." on top and "270 WIN." on the left. It was produced without provisions for fixed sights, and, instead, the rifle is mounted with a Bushnell 4x Banner scope. The rifle is fitted with an attractively figured English walnut pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering patterns on the grip and forend, a shadow line cheekpiece, swivel studs, and an Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. The bolt is numbered to the gun and has a checkered knob. Roger's father Al Biesen was the preferred gunsmith of writer and outdoorsman Jack O'Connor. O'Connor is well known to have preferred his custom Model 70 chambered for .270 Win.

Very fine as custom built. The rifle retains 98% plus of the blue finish with some minor cycling and overall all light handling/storage marks and some slight loss on the bolt handle. The stock is excellent with crisp checkering and some minor handling/storage marks. The action and optics are excellent.
